Data Engineer III

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our team. This role will be part of our engineering team responsible for maintaining existing enterprise integrations and building our next generation of data pipelines with data products. Candidates should actively contribute to the development of best practices in coding and development habits while fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of relevant technologies and can quickly learn and adapt to new solutions as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform development activities within the engineering team. Design and build data warehouses within cloud environments using data lakes and data warehouse solutions. Demonstrate proficiency in core technologies such as Python, Java, and database systems. Develop data integrations leveraging cloud services and infrastructure tools for cloud-based solutions. Understand and implement real-time data strategies including streaming methods. Support deployment and implementation activities, managing the full lifecycle of changes from initiation to deployment. Build deployment plans, considering downstream and business dependencies. Ensure best practices in change management and risk mitigation are followed. Contribute to system design by assessing technical challenges and providing strategic guidance. Lead the design of scalable and maintainable software architectures. Maintain broad knowledge of various technologies to deliver innovative and efficient solutions. Ensure adherence to coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices. Assist the team in identifying and implementing new development best practices. Required Qualifications Experience in designing and building data warehouses within cloud environments. Proficiency in Python, Java, and database technologies. Hands‑on experience developing data integrations using cloud services such as API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, and infrastructure as code tools. Knowledge of real‑time data processing and streaming methods. Ability to manage full lifecycle development activities from planning to deployment. Strong problem‑solving skills with the capability to provide strategic guidance. Experience in designing scalable and maintainable software architectures. Commitment to coding best practices and collaborative development. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Web Methods (reverse engineering). Knowledge of streaming platforms such as Kafka and Flink. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure management tools such as Terraform.
