Med Surg RN Orthopedic Neuro

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The nurse is expected to maintain strong communication with patients and providers in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in hospital or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience caring for orthopedic and neurological patients.
• Previous work in medical-surgical units.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary team collaboration in acute care.

Special Considerations:

• Work is performed in a hospital medical-surgical unit with orthopedic and neurological patients.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Scheduling:

• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Shift assignments based on unit needs and staffing requirements.
