Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Night Shift (19:30 - 08:00), with every other weekend and holiday shifts required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to handle a diverse patient population across all age groups. You will work in a fast-paced emergency department environment, providing care for patients suffering from conditions such as chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer medications and perform emergency interventions as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain patient records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; emergency department experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state license.
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, and TNCC.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Travel experience is required; first-time travelers must have 5+ years of experience.
