Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in OB/GYN, specifically within the Gynecologic Oncology unit. This role is ideal for candidates who possess both gynecological and oncology nursing experience, along with surgical skills.

Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends or on-call duties required

Responsibilities

• Triage patients for medication reactions, concerning surgical outcomes, and symptoms of potential recurrence via phone and EPIC messaging.
• Provide pre/post-operative education and assessments to ensure safe treatment progress for patients.
• Manage a case load of 3-6 nurse visits daily, maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Support the clinical team of 4 GYN Oncologists, 1 benign GYN surgeon, and 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in relevant specialties, including SICU, OR, PACU, Post-Op, Gynecologic Oncology, Triage, OBGYN, or Oncology.
• Candidates with solely L&D experience will not be considered.
• Experience with voiding trials and central line flushes (port flushes) is a plus.
• Current certifications: BLS, RN.

Additional Information

This position can be offered as a true travel assignment or a temporary to permanent role. The clinic typically sees 30-40 patients daily, and while the patient population is low volume, it is characterized by high needs. Candidates should be prepared to engage with patients actively and compassionately.
