A growing CNC Machine Shop in Gilroy is looking for a dedicated Assembly and Shipping Manager to oversee assembly and shipping operations at our facility in Gilroy, California. In this role, you will ensure the seamless coordination of the Finish Room, Assembly, and Shipping processes, while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC Machine Shop manufacturing, assembly and shipping procedures, coupled with excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Finish Room, Assembly, and Delivery staff.
• Process all shipping documents, including Packing Lists, UPS shipping documents, LTL freight documents.
• Expert in packaging and pallet wrapping.
• Manage and work with assembly staff to ensure high quality of assembly and timely delivery of products.
• Monitor and improve shipping workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• Train and guide team members on all assembly procedures, shipping procedures and finish room skills.
• Work closely with the Inventory and Materials Manager to help track inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and avoid discrepancies.
• Responsible for finished goods inventory and reporting of such to Management.
• Proven experience in Supervisory or Management roles of a minimum of 8 people.
• Experience in the use of ERP systems, specifically ECI JobBoss.
• Processing of Purchase Orders to outside vendors and follow-up as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the quality of parts prior to shipment.
• Effective written and oral communication, vendor relationships, and leadership abilities.

• Occasional lifting of 50 – 75 lbs
• Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment
• Constantly stand or walk throughout the work day
• Constantly wear eye-protection and masks at work stations
• Able to squat, lift, bend or stoop consistently throughout the work day
• Noise level is consistently loud
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration
