We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in Port Jefferson, NY. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth front desk operations in a busy veterinary practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming environment.
• Answer phone calls promptly, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
• Check in and check out patients, collect payments, and process billing accurately.
• Maintain client records and update patient information in the practice management system.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff to coordinate patient care.
• Handle client inquiries and provide information about services, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and ordering office supplies as needed.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with informational materials.
• Proficient with Cornerstone practice management software strongly required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a veterinary or medical office preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems and practice management software (Cornerstone).
• Compassion for animals and a genuine interest in veterinary care.
