Job Overview:

Our nursing staff operates within collaborative settings alongside strong interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach in a diverse work environment. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, registered nurses apply evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical team. Utilizing their expertise, registered nurses develop care plans that encompass the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Implement evidence-based practices in accordance with hospital policies.
• Develop comprehensive care plans addressing diverse patient needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Familiarity with the nursing process and customer service principles is essential. National certification in a specialty area is preferred. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is advantageous. IV skills and proficiency in a secondary language are also preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification in BLS is required, or completion within the first three months of employment. ACLS certification is mandatory for Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endoscopy. ACLS is highly recommended for cross-trained staff in these areas. NNR certification is required for Obstetrics.
• General Qualifications: Must hold a current RN license in Connecticut and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
