Associate Professor or Professor Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia Research Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) Departmental Overviews The world-renowned and highly integrated neuroscience community at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is a pioneering force across basic, translational, and clinical neuroscience, with a rich history dating back to 1900 when we opened the nation's first inpatient neurology service. Our faculty continues to make significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of brain and nervous system disorders. With nearly 1,000 faculty members across the neurosciences, our strengths span a wide range of areas, including basic and pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, epidemiological investigations, and health services and implementation research. We have particular strength in research on Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias, with one of the oldest and continuously funded Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers sponsored by NIH as well as the Ronald M. Loeb Center, a world renowned center for basic and translational research focused on ADRD. In addition, faculty at Mount Sinai benefit from a highly collaborative research environment and access to preeminent interdisciplinary programs, centers and institutes, including the Friedman Brain Institute, the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health, the Icahn Genomics Institute, the Charles Bronfman Institute for Personalized Medicine, the Advanced Neuroimaging Research Program, among many others.

Position Overview Reports to: the relevant Departmental System Chair (e.g., System Chair, Department of Neurology, System Chair, Department of Psychiatry, etc.) The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) and the Mount Sinai Health System seek applicants for a faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level for an accomplished clinical investigator in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). We seek an internationally recognized scientist, physician-scientist, or clinician-investigator with a distinguished record of NIH-funded clinical research focused on ADRD. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and highly collaborative research community and will play a major role in advancing Mount Sinai's leadership in neurodegenerative disease research, clinical innovation, and precision medicine.

This recruitment is intended to identify a nationally recognized leader who will help shape the future of ADRD research across the Icahn School of Medicine and the Mount Sinai Health System. The appointment includes opportunities for significant scientific, academic, and programmatic leadership commensurate with the candidate's experience and accomplishments. Candidates should have an established clinical research program and national reputation in one or more of the following areas: Alzheimer's disease and related dementias clinical trials Biomarker discovery, validation, and implementation Digital phenotyping and use of AI- and EMR-based tools to advance precision diagnosis and track patient clinical courses Translational neuroscience and therapeutic development Neurodegenerative disease mechanisms in humans Precision medicine approaches dementia diagnosis and treatment

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Maintain and expand an internationally recognized, externally funded research program Foster multidisciplinary collaborations across Mount Sinai's research and clinical enterprises Play a leading role within Mount Sinai’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and affiliated research programs. Contribute to the strategic growth of Mount Sinai's Alzheimer's disease and related dementias programs Promote cross-disciplinary collaborations and team science across Mount Sinai institutes and health system centers. Educate and mentor medical students, graduate students, residents, and fellows. Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, clinician-scientists, and junior faculty Participate in educational activities within the Icahn School of Medicine For clinically trained candidates, provide outstanding clinical care to individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias

Qualifications: MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent For MD / MD-PhD candidates providing clinical care: Board certification or eligibility in Neurology, Psychiatry, or related discipline. Completion of a clinical or research fellowship, e.g., in Behavioral Neurology, Neuropsychiatry, Memory Disorders, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Neuropathology, etc. Qualify for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor Have a sustained record of NIH funding and scholarly achievement in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias research Demonstrate excellence in research leadership, mentorship, and multidisciplinary collaboration Salary Range:
