Senior Systems Administrator
*This is a hybrid position. Ideal candidates can be on site for up to 3 days/week.
*Local to the Wilmington, NC area only, please.

Description:

• The Senior Systems Administrator provides operational support for the enterprise infrastructure that enables the secure and reliable movement of cargo through the Ports of Wilmington and Morehead City.
• The manager has a strong preference for a candidate that can be onsite 1-3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for maintaining the availability security and resiliency of core infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, Cisco UCS compute, NetApp, storage, endpoint management, identity services, disaster recovery, backup systems, and enterprise endpoint protection.
• These platforms support port operations, public safety, administrative systems, and business applications that operate 24x7.
• The contractor will also support critical cybersecurity initiatives through vulnerability remediation, security patching, incident response, backup validation, disaster recovery, readiness, and implementation of infrastructure security best practices.
• The role directly supports cybersecurity objectives and ongoing compliance efforts including implementation of the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Transportation Security Cyber Risk Management Final Rule.

• VMware vSphere / ESXi administration , Required 5 Years
• Windows Server administration (2019/2022) , Required 5 Years
• Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP , Required 5 Years
• Cisco UCS compute infrastructure , Required 5 Years
• NetApp storage administration , Required 5 Years
• SCCM/MECM and endpoint management , Required 5 Years
• PowerShell and PowerCLI automation , Required 5 Years
• Enterprise backup and disaster recovery , Required 5 Years
• Vulnerability management and security patching , Required 5 Years
• Endpoint protection and enterprise encryption , Required 5 Years
• Microsoft clustering and high availability , Required 5 Years
• Identity and authentication services (MFA, PKI, LDAP) , Required 5 Years
• Enterprise virtualization and VDI support , Required 5 Years
• Infrastructure monitoring and performance tuning , Required 5 Years
• Incident response and root cause analysis , Required 5 Years
• Enterprise networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls), Required 5 Years
• Technical documentation and change management , Required 5 Years
