Legal Administrative SpecialistLee County is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Legal Administrative Specialist to join our County Attorney team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting legal staff, preparing high-quality documents, and keeping processes running smoothly through accuracy, consistency, and strong communication.In this role, you'll prepare and process a wide variety of legal documents and produce official correspondence, and serve as a professional point of contact for internal staff, the Board of County Commissioners, and members of the public.If you enjoy producing precise work, staying organized, and contributing to the efficiency of a busy legal team, this may be a great fit.What You'll DoThis is a hands-on legal administrative support role focused on legal document preparation, organization, and proactive, timely follow-through. Daily responsibilities include:Proactively reviewing incoming requests and preparing legal documents, agenda items, and other items for attorneys without needing directionPrepare correspondence, memorandums, reports, agreements, resolutions, ordinances, administrative codes, and notices of intent with accuracy and within established timeframesPrepare and process standard legal documents, including subpoenas, contracts, summonses, appeals, motions, and various other pleadingsCommunicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with the Board of County Commissioners, administrative staff, and the general publicProvide information and respond to inquiries via email, telephone, and in personMaintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all work productsMinimum RequirementsSalary based upon experience Candidates must meet any combination of education and experience equivalent to:High School graduation or GED equivalent; andTwo years of office support experience, preferably in a legal environment or closely related fieldValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is someone who:Works with precision and produces consistent, error-free documentsAnticipates needs and takes proactive action to support attorneys efficientlyManages multiple tasks and deadlines in an organized, dependable mannerCommunicates clearly and professionally with internal staff and the publicMaintains confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance across all workLearns new systems quickly and adapts well to routine workflowsEnjoys supporting a team and contributing to smooth administrative operationsDemonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)Has knowledge of CivicPlus Agenda System, Smartsheet programs, and Document Management SystemsIs proficient in Adobe Acrobat for document creation, editing, and formattingWork Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMWhy Join Us?This position supports essential administrative and legal operations that help keep the County running efficiently.
