Sprinkler Irrigation System Repair Technician Start Date: TBD Job Summary: Sprinkler Irrigation Technician installs, maintains and repairs pressurized irrigation systems; performs grounds maintenance duties; and related work as required. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair sprinkler systems, including pressure testing and system optimization. Read and interpret blueprints, landscape plans, and athletic field diagrams. Troubleshoot and diagnose sprinkler, mechanical, and equipment problems and perform repairs. Use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools and equipment common to grounds maintenance work. Make appropriate decisions independently in the absence of a supervisor and understand both written and oral communications. Qualifications High school graduation or equivalent. At least one year of experience in sprinkler design (preferably five years of installation and repair). Valid Idaho driver’s license required; CDL Class A preferred. Maxicom and Backflow certification preferred. Physical ability to perform repetitive motions, lift up to 50 pounds frequently (up to 100 pounds occasionally), stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces.
