Overview Position: Supervisor, Maintenance Department: Finance & Administrative Services Type of Position: Full-time Hourly Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Work Schedule, Hours per week: Tuesday through Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, 40 hours per week Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No Starting Salary Range: $31.00-$40.51 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume. Position Summary Oversee a team of electricians, plumbers, and contractors for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all electrical and plumbing work for Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Required Qualifications Manages the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors. Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to be insured to operate college vehicles. Position Details Include But Are Not Limited To Supervise Electrical and Plumbing staff and external contractors to determine appropriate scheduling, coach employees on performance standards, and ensure proper procedures are followed to assure safety. Manage and track work orders and project timelines. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with all state/city inspections or certifications. Ensure backflow systems, generators, elevators, lifts, building fire sprinklers, and other plumbing or electrical systems are in working order. Manage, update, and maintain the electrical and plumbing infrastructure. Implement and maintain best practices and procedures for campus standards on Plumbing and Electrical staff. Formulate project cost estimates and specifications for repair and maintenance involving Electrical and Plumbing. Maintain and administer campus guidelines and service standards for Electrical and Plumbing. Supervise and assist other trade areas as needed and act as a lead role in snow removal. Respond to emergencies during or after hours. To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, and cover letter.
