The Balco team focuses on Architectural Expansion Joints, Moats and Portals, Fire Barriers, Stair Nosings, Mats and Grids, Trenches, and Photoluminescent products to provide high-quality building solutions.Company Wide Responsibilities:Support and follow Balco, Inc.'s Quality PolicyFollow all applicable Procedures and Work InstructionsInitiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processesDemonstrate company valuesFollow all safety rules and regulations as directed by BalcoAny other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor or Executive ManagementJob Responsibilities:Follow all Balco's safety rules, regulations, brings concerns to leadership on unsafe conditions, damages, or processes that need attention.Support and follow Balco, Inc.'s Quality Policy.Follow all applicable Procedures and Work Instructions.Coordinate all work within the Shipping department.Ensure that all employees are trained in all aspects of department functions.Verify that proper materials are provided to the customer.Verify that materials are supplied in the proper quantities and proper lengths.Coordinate supporting documentation and paperwork.Check materials to ensure that quality standards are met.Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes.Offer solutions for problems with product or processes.Verify shipment for correct lengths, finish, color, hardware, accessories, material, quality and quantity.Complete all supporting documentation to guarantee accurate record keeping and that the shipment will arrive at the correct destination in the required time-frame.Verify materials are marked with the proper mark number if required.Ensure proper packing material is used to protect the material during transit and handling.Maintain a clean work area.Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and Executive Management.Qualifications:3+ years of experience working in a role where shipping was a primary job duty.A high school diploma or equivalent is required.Able to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers verbally and in writing.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)Able to complete work accurately and on time.Able to work collaboratively with direct team members, or across departments, and work independently as needed.Able to effectively lead a team by providing direction, measuring quality of work, giving feedback, and managing performance.Able to properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Candidates who apply for positions requiring the use of a lift truck must be able to obtain certification and safely operate a lift truck.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate with an annual pay increaseComprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance.401(k) with company match on 6%Paid time off, including holidays and vacation.Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) for long-term wealth building.Annual Performance Bonus ProgramEmployee DiscountsTuition ReimbursementPaid Parental LeaveHSA ContributionsEAP ProgramReferral BonusNo travel required.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
