Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home in Overland Park, Kansas. We appreciate the importance of work-life balance and have structured our work hours to accommodate this. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a predictable schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms among clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans, ensuring that their unique needs, goals, and preferences are addressed.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support effective management of mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, potential treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster understanding and promote engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans to meet evolving needs, while documenting all interactions accurately and confidentially in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded approach to mental health care.

• Engage in continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to enhance the quality of care provided.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and expertise to improve clinical outcomes and shared knowledge among peers.

• Advocate for clients by promoting de-stigmatization of mood disorders and engaging in discussions around mental health awareness and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals experiencing mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. We serve a diverse group of clients who may come from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, allowing our therapists to gain rich, varied experiences that enhance their therapeutic skills.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychotherapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) in the state of Kansas.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment practices for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.

• Strong competency in psychopharmacology, with an ability to work closely with psychiatrists to facilitate comprehensive care.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with clients and families.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical mental health setting, specifically treating mood disorders.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation and facilitate seamless communication within the care team.
