In this role, you will assist the Sr Buyer procurement functions related to the purchasing of materials and supplies, while maintaining accurate and detailed records.  Using your strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills, you will also be responsible for sourcing, initiating and negotiating material purchases, spot buys when appropriate, just in time inventory, while keeping excess inventory a minimum.    Purchase orders placement with select suppliersCreate and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliersMaintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important dataParticipate in weekly/monthly procurement meetingsInventory managementMonth end invoice reconciliationReportingPartner with internal departments on needs and requirementsReport issues regarding vendor product quality, dependability, and service issuesContinual process improvements and solution base thinkerQualificationsAt least 1 years of experience in procurement or similar roleBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working with Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, and OutlookSAP experience a must!Able to interact with all levels of employees, management, external and internal customersOrganizational and planning skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set personal goals and enforce personal deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goalsAdditional InformationMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Disability Pay. 401(k) with company matching up to 6%.
