If you are a Registered Nurse who is passionate about education, mentorship, and elevating clinical practice, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact across an entire care community.Elderwood is seeking an RN Educator to lead orientation, education, and ongoing competency development for our nursing and clinical teams - ensuring excellence, compliance, and confidence at every level of care.Your Impact as an RN EducatorDesign, implement, and evaluate orientation, compliance, and continuing education programs for facility staffServe as a clinical mentor and resource to new nurses, Nurse Preceptors, and leadership teamsLead and coordinate General Orientation, department-based onboarding, and licensed nurse orientation programsEnsure staff remain current with evolving clinical standards, policies, and best practicesFoster a culture of learning, accountability, and clinical excellenceThis role also serves as the primary Instructor for the Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP)Key Responsibilities as RN EducatorAct as a clinical "super user" for the EMR and serve as a go-to resource for staffSchedule, teach, and lead BLS and IV certification programsPerform staff vaccinations, health screenings, and assigned medical testingCollaborate with Unit Managers, Nurse Consultants, and Preceptors to support annual clinical competency testingCoordinate and deliver mandatory corporate in-service educationTrack, document, and report education compliance using the Learning Management System (LMS)Plan and deliver CNA and Support Aide orientation programsEnsure Nursing Assistants complete required in-service education hoursPrepare monthly education calendars and reportsCoordinate emergency preparedness drills (fire, disaster, Code Blue) and maintain documentationLead and participate in facility staff meetings and in-service education sessionsWhy Join Elderwood?Meaningful leadership role with facility-wide impactOpportunity to shape clinical practice and professional developmentCollaborative, mission-driven cultureA chance to lead, mentor, and leave a legacy of excellenceApply today to become an RN Educator at Elderwood - where your knowledge empowers others, and your leadership strengthens care.QualificationsCredentials of a Registered Professional nurse with a current NYS license required.Baccalaureate degree preferred.Experience in in-service education or skills in teaching; at least one year experience in a long-term health care facility required.Ability to work cooperatively with personnel at all levels required.Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.Personal qualities of enthusiasm; interest in needs of residents, and quality assurance desirable.Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
