Senior Accountant

We are working with a client in Miami Lakes that is looking for a Sr Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate would come from public accounting and they must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Sr Accountant Job Responsibilities: Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, debt, intercompany, and equity activity. Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including consolidated financial statements, variance analyses, and executive-level management commentary. Work with, maintain, and continuously improve complex Excel-based reporting, reconciliations, and financial models using advanced functions. Partner with and provide oversight of the offshore accounting team — assigning work, reviewing deliverables, resolving questions, providing training and feedback, and ensuring SLAs and quality standards are consistently met. Support multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and property-level to entity-level roll-ups for an expanding portfolio of assets. Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures, desktop guides, and training materials to drive consistency between onshore and offshore teams. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to shorten the close cycle, improve reporting accuracy, and scale the accounting function with the business. Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to senior leadership, and operations partners. Maintain financial integrity by following, monitoring, and improving internal controls; protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
