Pre-Med/Pre-PA Dermatology Medical Assistant

Austin's independent dermatology clinic providing medical, cosmetic, and surgical services is seeking recent undergraduates for a full-time position.

The office is conveniently located at the corner of South Lamar and West Gate Blvd. The practice is independent and enjoys a great work culture.

Primary responsibilities for medical assistants include answering phones, patient call-backs, managing faxes, performing prior-authorizations, rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, scribing exam notes with an iPad, assisting the doctor with cosmetic, surgical, and Mohs procedures, reviewing handouts/information with patients, patient education, turning over rooms, product education, and making the patients feel comfortable and welcome. Other responsibilities include instrument sterilization, prepping/tracking/managing exam room stocking, and supply ordering.
