Unit Secretary (PRN)

The Unit Secretary provides administrative, clerical, and communication support for the LTCH unit to promote efficient daily operations and support safe, timely patient care. The Unit Secretary serves as a central point of communication for patients, families, nursing staff, providers, therapy, respiratory therapy, ancillary departments, and external partners. The position assists with admissions, discharges, transfers, documentation, scheduling, supplies, communication, and other administrative functions while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities may include answering phones, coordinating admissions and discharges, maintaining patient records, communicating with providers and departments, managing supplies, scheduling, and supporting nurses, therapy, respiratory therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
