Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Service Technician, where you will travel throughout West Michigan to provide exceptional service on various HVAC systems. You will be responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining commercial HVAC control systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS). The role focuses on optimizing building performance, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and system reliability through the use of advanced temperature controls, DDC (Direct Digital Control), and BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Alerton, and other control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission building automation and HVAC control systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, temperature controls, sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication networks to diagnose and resolve operational issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability of HVAC and automation systems.

• Monitor building automation systems to improve occupant comfort, operational efficiency, and energy consumption.

• Respond to service calls and provide technical support for existing customer facilities throughout West Michigan

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC controls or BAS/DDC systems.

• Proficiency in Niagara Tridium and understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies.

• Familiarity with low-voltage wiring, sensors, actuators, and controllers.

• Must have Niagara 4 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Johnson Controls or Distech.

Work Environment

Work primarily on a 1st shift schedule, traveling up to 2 hours around West Michigan. Overnight stays are rare and planned in advance. A clean driving record is essential for this role

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
