About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Payroll & HRIS Strategy to lead and advance the payroll and HRIS strategy across its federation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and effective system utilization in a multi-platform environment. This role involves serving as a strategic advisor to site leaders, partnering with various teams to assess, select, implement, and optimize HRIS and payroll systems, and establishing federation-wide standards for payroll accuracy and data integrity. The VP will also lead reporting strategy, identify trends and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in payroll and HRIS processes. Applicants must have a minimum of 12-15 years' of progressive experience in payroll, HRIS, human capital management, or related fields, with a strong preference for those with a Master's degree and experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations. The role requires deep expertise in multiple HRIS and payroll platforms, strong consultative and influencing skills, and the ability to operate strategically while maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Certification in HR, payroll, or project management is a plus, and the role may involve travel to various site locations.
