Description:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a home health setting.
Mileage will not be compensated as this is an all-inclusive bill rate.
The patient demographic includes individuals requiring wound care, wound vacs, new ostomies, and post-surgical wound care.
Pediatrics are not part of the patient population.
Patients will often have cardiac-related conditions such as congestive heart failure and pneumonia.
Care may include administering IV antibiotics and performing PICC line care and lab draws.
Travelers will not be responsible for initial assessments or recertifications, focusing instead on routine visits.
The expected daily patient load is up to 7 for LPNs.
Supervision will be provided by two supervisors working Monday through Friday.
There will be no on-call or standby requirements.
No patient bathing services are required for Home Health Aides.
Shifts are from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with an hour for lunch.
There are no weekend or holiday requirements.
Scrubs are not mandatory; neat and appropriate clothing is acceptable.
Orientation will focus solely on home health, with a preceptor assigned for support.
This position does not require case management or patient scheduling.
Charting will be completed using a designated tablet and provided cell phone.
Cancellation of up to 4 shifts may occur during the assignment.
