Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Obstetrics (OB), Postpartum, and Antepartum care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work night shifts and be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum stages.
• Manage patient assessments, implement care plans, and deliver education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates during labor.
• Assist in the operating room as needed for deliveries and surgical procedures.

Unit Information

• 12 postpartum rooms
• 4 swing/antepartum rooms
• 5 labor rooms
• 4 triage rooms
• 2 operating rooms

Shift Details

This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 11 PM to 11 AM, with a rotational schedule that includes working every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior OB experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory.

Patient Ratios

• Labor and Delivery: 1:3
• Antepartum: 1:3
• Mother/Baby Couplet: 1:6

Additional Information

The unit provides scrubs for all staff. Staff may be required to work additional hours as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Floating to other departments or facilities within 30 miles may occur based on clinical competencies.
