Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Stepdown unit provides specialized patient care for individuals recovering from cardiac procedures or experiencing cardiac conditions. They collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing services in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission, including medical history, vital signs, and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with physicians.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and critical situations, providing life-saving interventions when necessary.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State of New Hampshire RN license or Compact License.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with strong MS/Tele experience preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
