Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner and producing product per customer specification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs.
• Complete equipment set-ups in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures.
• Produce assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.
• Record length of time and quantity of materials used for each job.
• Inspect parts and document findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.
• Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.
• Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
• Rubber machine operator (molding) position requires heat resist sleeves & gloves, safety glasses, and during set up steel toe tips.
• Seals machine operator position requires safety glasses, ear plugs and during set up steel toe tips
• Required to wear proper gowning for specific areas
• Maintain good housekeeping and EHS requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• 3-5 years of proven Machine Operator experience
• MS Office Suite, SAP a plus
• Understands the basic concepts of manufacturing

Work Environment / Conditions / Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift at times up to 15lbs.
