Site Safety Technician -Cartersville, GA

NexGen is looking to add a Site Safety Technician to our Cartersville, GA location. Responsibilities Why NexGen? Qualifications Who we want… (Requirements) Up to five years of related experience. OSHA 30 Hour card required. Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications. What We Expect… (Essential Functions) Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA, company safety regulations, and customer requirements. Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of NexGen. Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained. Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion. Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required. Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and trade partners who are in non-compliance with safety requirements. Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings. Responsible for conducting daily safety meetings. Responsible for conducting orientation and jobsite specific training. Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of NexGen’s safety program on site. Other duties may be assigned. The team member is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is generally moderate to loud. Appropriate protective measures will be provided. Overtime may be required.
