Spa Manager – New Hand & Stone Opening Location:

Northlake, Texas

Target Opening: November 2026

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa is opening a brand-new location in Northlake, Texas. We are seeking an experienced Spa Manager to lead the spa's pre-opening activities, build the founding team, and manage ongoing business performance. The ideal candidate will have spa or wellness management experience and will be equally comfortable leading employees, growing membership sales, overseeing daily operations, and creating an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the spa's daily operations and ensure every guest receives a consistent, welcoming, and professional experience.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain qualified Massage Therapists, Estheticians, and Spa Associates.
• Lead, coach, and develop employees while creating a positive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace.
• Prepare employee schedules based on appointment demand, provider availability, peak hours, and labor targets.
• Coordinate payroll information, new-hire orientation, training, performance evaluations, and other employee processes.
• Set clear sales expectations and coach the front-desk team on membership conversion, rebooking, retail sales, and guest retention.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing, and ensure treatment rooms and operational areas have the necessary supplies.
• Oversee POS transactions, cash controls, daily reconciliations, and basic bookkeeping-related activities.
• Develop and manage operating budgets while monitoring revenue, payroll, expenses, and overall profitability.
• Review key performance measures, including membership growth, conversion, cancellations, utilization, rebooking, retail sales, and labor costs.
• Support presale, grand-opening, local marketing, referral, and community-outreach programs to build awareness and generate new business.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional spa environment that complies with company policies and applicable health and safety requirements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, service-recovery situations, and employee issues.
• Partner closely with ownership to review results, identify opportunities, and implement plans for continued growth.

Spa Manager Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience in the spa or wellness industry is required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage performance, and build a collaborative team culture.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and evaluating employees.
• Strong sales-management skills, preferably within a membership-based or service-oriented business.
• Ability to understand retail calculations, pricing, sales performance, labor costs, and basic financial reports.
• Working knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, cash-handling procedures, and bookkeeping practices.
• Experience using POS, scheduling, payroll, and business-management systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual or multilingual capability is a plus.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, particularly when addressing guest or employee concerns.
• Experience with local marketing, merchandising, vendor coordination, or promotional programs is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak business periods when necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Experience opening a new spa, wellness studio, salon, or other service-based location.
• Familiarity with membership sales, recurring-revenue businesses, and customer-retention strategies.
• Knowledge of the Northlake, Argyle, Roanoke, Trophy Club, Southlake, or surrounding North Texas market.
• Experience managing Massage Therapists, Estheticians, or other licensed service providers.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
