Job Title: Packager Job Description

This entry-level position in the plastic extrusion department focuses on assembly and packaging support for extrusion operators. You will assemble cartridge housings using small hand tools, label cartridges, and package extruded plastic that is rolled onto spools and loaded into cartridges in a fast-paced, controlled manufacturing environment.

• Support extrusion operators by performing assembly and packaging tasks in the plastic extrusion department.
• Assemble housings for cartridges using small hand tools with attention to accuracy and quality.
• Label cartridges clearly and consistently according to established standards and work instructions.
• Handle extruded plastic material that is rolled onto spools, similar to wire or yarn, typically 1 to 2 square feet in size.
• Remove completed spools from machines safely and efficiently.
• Place spools into protective plastic packaging and load them into cartridges as required.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, pick-and-pack style environment while meeting productivity and quality goals.
• Operate basic warehouse and packaging equipment as needed to support production.
• Use computer systems and Microsoft Office applications to complete basic tasks such as tracking work, labeling, or documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

• At least 6 months of experience in packaging, warehouse (including fast-paced pick-and-pack environments), or assembly work.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production or warehouse setting.
• Basic machine operating familiarity in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to use small hand tools for assembly tasks safely and accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus on quality and detail.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and maintain workflow.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality in a production environment.

• Previous plastics manufacturing or plastics handling experience is a strong plus but not required.
• General warehouse skills such as packaging, labeling, and material handling.
• Comfort using computers for basic data entry and labeling tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to learn extrusion processes and related equipment over time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
