SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Vice President of Finance and work with the Development team throughout the acquisition and development process. The position will interact with other departments of HTG to advance the new projects through all stages of the development process. Particular emphasis on equity, debt, and underwriting with large financial institutions.

Our Financial Analyst position is an entry level salaried position that requires investment of time and effort beyond a traditional work week.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude toward change, adapts well in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of identifying needs and proposing solutions to complete projects on time. Technical skills can be developed on the job; motivation, work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn cannot be taught as easily, and are the qualities we prioritize most in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Financial Analyst's duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Regular forecasting and budgeting
• Preparing ad-hoc reports and assisting with special projects as needed
• Project accounting
• Quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective real estate investments, as well as monitoring current investments
• Support the underwriting and structuring of equity and debt with financial institutions
• Preparation of pre- and post-construction insurance binders
• Direct communication with equity and lending institutions
• Performing other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE)

• 1-2 years of experience in finance preferred; candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong motivation and a genuine willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
• Associate degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in Excel required; prior exposure to financial modeling or time value of money concepts is preferred but not required, as training will be provided
• Knowledge or experience in the real estate development industry is preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
