Responsibilities

• Provide skilled ICU nursing care during night shifts for adult patients.

• Monitor patient vitals, document assessments, and respond to changes promptly.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.

• Collaborate with night shift team to ensure seamless patient care handoffs.

• Adhere to unit safety standards, infection control, and evidence-based practices.

• Document care plans and progress in electronic health records accurately.

• Escalate critical issues to physicians and management in a timely manner.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in quality initiatives.

• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge needs.

• Utilize data and pipelines to track performance metrics and outcomes.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and pursue growth opportunities.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active ICU RN license with current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certification

• Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care bedside nursing experience

• Proficient in EHR documentation and critical care data entry

• Ability to monitor vitals, interpret abnormalities, and respond rapidly

• Capable of performing med administration and following physician orders per protocol

• Night-shift availability with ability to perform on-call escalation when needed

• Evidence-based practice adherence and strict infection control compliance

• Strong communication for handoffs and collaboration with night shift team

• Participation in quality initiatives and performance metrics tracking

• Growth mindset with active pursuit of professional development and role advancement
