IT Senior Database Administrator

Job DescriptionFastenal Company, Winona, MNIT Senior Database Administrator (Multiple Openings)Offered Salary: $85,000-$130,000The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:1. Managing databases within the Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL database technology stack2. Managing databases within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms3. Designing, implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code workflows to provision, configure, patch and harden database platforms with repeatable, idempotent automation4. Troubleshooting data replication and integrity across the enterprise5. Performing and tuning along with SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL development6. Writing and maintaining technical support documentation for applications7. Adhering to security best practices, access control, and security policies8. Demonstrating day-to-day adherence with change control concepts and practices9. Providing 24x7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation10. Acting as a technical expert and reference point for wider technical queries11. Mentoring other members of the teamThe skills and qualifications required for this position include: Possess a bachelor's degree in IT, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or related field of study; plus3 years of experience in Database Administration, Systems Engineering, or closely related field 1. 3 years of experience in: a. managing databases within the Oracle or Microsoft SQL database technology stackb. troubleshooting data replication and integrityc. working on SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL/MSSQL development, and d. writing technical support documentation for applications2. 2 years of experience managing cloud database systems 3. Demonstrated knowledge in scripting and performance tuning4. Demonstrated strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities skills5. Demonstrated strong math aptitude6. Excellent written and oral communication7. Experience in learning and performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment8. Experience in working independently as well as in a team environment9.
