Chemical Dependency Counselor

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed! Substance abuse counselor will be in charge of assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients' progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients' achieving overall outcome. Position Overview The position involves providing individualized and group counseling, crisis management, and coping strategies while coordinating care with medical staff to facilitate comprehensive recovery for patients experiencing opioid use disorder. Responsibilities Assist with intake process Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment Facilitate, establish and review initial treatment plans with each patient Complete bio-psychosocial assessment Develop aftercare and discharge plans Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications Must hold a TCADC, CADC, CADCI, CADCII, LADC, or LCADC in the state of Kentucky Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals plus Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population Knowledge of EMR preferred Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen Benefits Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(K) Generous paid time off and paid holidays Excellent growth and development opportunities through our counselor career path Rewarding opportunity with the ability to impact individuals' life About Us MedMark Treatment Centers, a BayMark Health Services company, is a progressive substance abuse treatment program that is committed to the highest quality of patient care in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting.
