Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Manager Registered Nurse Full Time

We are currently seeking a Full Time Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Nurse Manager to join our team full-time. This role is key to ensuring that patients are well-prepared for their surgical procedures—both physically and medically—before they arrive for surgery. What You’ll Do Conduct pre-operative assessments via phone or in person, reviewing medical histories and identifying any potential anesthesia or surgical risks Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and primary care providers to obtain necessary clearances and lab work Educate patients on pre-surgery instructions, including fasting, medication management, and arrival logistics Ensure all required documentation is complete prior to the scheduled procedure Identify and elevate any health concerns that may affect surgical clearance Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Support patient safety, satisfaction, and readiness through proactive communication and education Required Skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication High attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Compassionate and professional patient interaction Required Experience Current RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license) Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year of pre-op, PACU, or pre-admissions experience preferred Familiarity with EMR systems and surgical workflows #J-18808-Ljbffr United Surgical Partners International
