Job Description What you will do: Perform laboratory tests that require specialized knowledge, training, and judgment Conduct complete chemical analysis (e.g., titrimetric, spectrometric, electrometric, inductively coupled plasma, chromatographic) on gasses, water, and organic/inorganic matter utilizing computerized laboratory equipment Utilize a laboratory information management system to accurately document sample information and laboratory test results Perform quality control functions as described in protocols on assigned tests Implement analytical procedures & methodologies to ensure compliance with federal & state requirements Monitor equipment to evaluate operating efficiency & to diagnose malfunctionsn Perform routine maintenance and maintain laboratory equipment & instruments Track & order laboratory equipment & supplies as needed Assist in coordination of gas sampling programs Use computer to input & process test data Calibrate & maintain records on testing equipment Starting hourly pay of $28.76/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, with an end salary of $38.01/hr. There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.
