Position Summary ISI is seeking a full-time onsite Construction Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Tampa VA Medical Center for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades. The Construction Project Manager will provide construction-phase project management support for EHRM-related projects at Tampa VAMC. Key Responsibilities Provide construction-phase project management support Monitor project budget and earned value Review contractor pay applications Review and analyze change order proposals and cost breakdowns Monitor construction schedule and critical path activities Identify delays and provide mitigation recommendations Review submittals and RFIs and provide written recommendations Develop and maintain Project Management Plan elements (Communication Plan, QA Plan, Risk Plan, Schedule Plan) Maintain project documentation and reporting Support project closeout activities Minimum Qualifications Four (4) year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects OR fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification or ability to complete within 60 calendar days of hiring Experience in healthcare construction is required, with active healthcare facility construction preferred Minimum Requirements and Qualifications Experience supporting IT/low-voltage infrastructure projects Experience supporting healthcare infrastructure projects Experience working in active hospital environments to include implementing infection control procedures Experience supporting phased construction to maintain hospital operations Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust (NACI) Ability to work full-time onsite in Tampa, FL Ability to support after-hours work as required Preferred Requirements VA HVAC/Electrical/IT Infrastructure upgrade projects preferred Experience with Florida construction and codes preferred VA Design Guides/Manuals, Specifications, and other applicable standards preferred Work Schedule, Environment, and Physical Requirements This job operates in an active healthcare construction environment. An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Full-time, onsite at Tampa VA Medical Center. Approximately 8 hours per day. Work shall be performed onsite and may require approximately 80% normal business hours and 20% off-business hours (5 PM to 5 AM EST) per year to align with contractor operations. Must be required to occasionally move and lift 20-30 pounds. Must be able to climb, erect and maintain balance on a 30-40 pound ladder. Must be able to remain in a stationary computer position for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk up to 1.5 miles per day between buildings. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be willing to work in external environments of rain, high heat and significant cold. Must be able navigate active construction sites containing uneven ground, debris, and active construction hazards such as sharp objects, electrical hazards, and potential fall hazards.
