As a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) at New Story Schools, you'll support students with special needs by implementing behavior intervention plans and providing individualized assistance that promotes learning, independence, and social-emotional growth. You'll collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and families to create safe, structured classrooms where every student can thrive.

What You'll Need

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

• High school diploma or GED

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff

• Patience, adaptability, and emotional intelligence to support diverse student needs

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication

What You'll Do

• Provide classroom support by assisting students with academic tasks, social interactions, and adaptive daily living skills

• Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with the team to adjust supports as needed

• Support self-help skills such as toileting, feeding, and hygiene to encourage independence

• Ensure a safe learning environment by using proactive and positive behavior strategies

• Partner with teachers, BCBAs, and families to maintain consistent, individualized support
