Material Handler (1st Shift)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Consolidate components for work orders and make appropriate inventory transactions Count parts daily to ensure inventory accuracy Enter part quantities in Oracle Count parts Count parts manually Gather relevant blueprints; build sheets and necessary parts and hardware for assembly Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products and package accordingly Resolve routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to a higher level for resolution Knowledge of and ability to process paperwork such as work orders, picklists, etc. Ability to read, understand and utilize work orders. Alert Team Leader of pending or imminent problems Ability to operate an RF Scanner to make appropriate inventory move transactions Maintain excellent housekeeping within the department to ensure safety and efficiency Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently Material Handling and Transportation of Product Work Safely and comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required Must be able to work scheduled overtime hours Provide coverage for other members of the shipping and receiving department Assist other departments as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Work and operate forklift safely For internal positions, no written warnings (within 12 months) Must be DCI licensed to operate a forklift and able to demonstrate proficiently in the operation of department equipment for which applying. Ability to use computer, proficiency in Oracle, PDM, MS-Office, MSDS Online, web based apps, etc. RF Reader experience preferred Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance Must be able to cover both Receiving and Shipping positions and will require ability to occasionally cover shipping hours of 8AM – 5PM Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
