**Bakery Processing Operator****Location:** Goodyear, Arizona**Shift:** 3rd Shift | 10:45 PM - 7:00 AM Monday - Friday**Pay Rate:** $22.50/hour + $1.00 Shift Differential**HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...**As a Bakery Processing Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality bakery products in a safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing environment. You will help ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, sanitation, and operational excellence.**WHAT YOU WILL DO...*** Operate processing and baking equipment to produce products that meet established quality and food safety standards.* Mix ingredients according to batch sheets and recipes, ensuring accurate weighing and measurement of raw materials.* Monitor and adjust processing variables, including temperature, moisture, mix times, and product weights.* Inspect products throughout the process and remove improperly formed, overlapped, or non-conforming product.* Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, changeovers, and basic preventative maintenance activities following established procedures.* Monitor and document production data, including temperatures, mix times, item numbers, raw material weights, and product specifications.* Identify, communicate, and escalate quality concerns to appropriate team members.* Monitor for potential foreign material contamination and take corrective action when necessary.* Follow sanitation procedures during cleanups and changeovers, including proper chemical handling practices.* Track, manage, and appropriately dispose of production waste.* Move raw materials using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.* Maintain adequate raw material inventory levels, unload ingredient trailers, and communicate material needs to appropriate personnel.* Monitor seasoning application and make adjustments as needed, where applicable.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following established housekeeping and 5S practices.* Follow all safety, food safety, hygiene, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.* Report defective equipment, unsafe conditions, and workplace injuries promptly.* Support mandatory overtime and perform additional duties as assigned.**WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH...*** Production Supervisors and Team Leads* Quality Assurance Team* Maintenance Technicians* Sanitation Team* Warehouse and Material Handling Teams* Fellow Production Operators and Plant Team Members**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)*** High School Diploma or GED.* At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing, production, food processing, or similar industrial environment.* Ability to read and follow batch sheets, recipes, work instructions, and production documentation.* Basic math skills and ability to accurately weigh and measure ingredients and raw materials.* Ability to operate equipment safely while maintaining quality and productivity standards.* Ability to work a 3rd shift schedule and support mandatory overtime as needed.* Ability to safely lift and move materials and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, humidity, noise, dust, and moving equipment.* Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to food safety and quality standards.**IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)*** Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification.* Prior experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.* Forklift and/or pallet jack operating experience or certification.* Experience performing equipment changeovers and basic preventative maintenance activities.* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and 5S principles.* Experience with production monitoring, documentation, and process control systems.**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.* Frequent use of hands and repetitive motions while operating equipment and handling ingredients.* Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, and kneel as needed to perform job duties.* Ability to continuously lift and move materials up to 25 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Heavier lifting may be required with assistance.* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment and material handling vehicles.* Regular exposure to wet and humid conditions and varying temperatures throughout the production process.* Occasional exposure to heights, airborne particles, sanitation chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.* Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise, dust, vibration, and production activity.* Must be able to safely perform all job duties while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.**Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
