Key Responsibilities of the RN - Orthopedics

• Provide postoperative surgical care and general medical-surgical care
• Manage a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:5-6 at night
• Collaborate with a primary charge RN each shift
• Perform duties alongside patient care techs responsible for 1:7-8 ratios
• Utilize house-wide telemetry and provide troubleshooting support for CPAP and heated high flow equipment

Requirements of the RN - Orthopedics

• Active IL license or confirmation of application process initiation
• BLS certification (AHA)
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in postoperative surgical and med-surg care
