With a reputation of more than 40 years of excellence, Smith is leading the way in electronic component distribution. Our diverse portfolio of pieces can be found in consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices, solar, and aerospace & defense.Essential Job DutiesWork collaboratively with internal customers (ie. Sales) to increase revenue and maintain customer satisfaction.Develop, establish, build and maintain solid vendor relationships.Required sourcing, price negotiation and expedition of purchase orders (POs).Execute and manage POs and dispute resolutions in a timely manner.Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of Smith’s purchasing methodology, commodities, services, industry standards, and terminology.Interface with Operations and Accounting departments to ensure PO’s are processed seamlessly and meet the needs of the customer.CompetenciesStrong negotiation skillsBusiness AcumenOrganizedInterpersonal SavvyMicrosoft applications – Word, Excel, OutlookEducationBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience of 1-2 years in purchasing.General knowledge of supply chain management.Smith is an equal opportunity employerSalary for this role is $65,000#LI-TT1We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Smith-c210cb62
