Role Description The Youth Soccer Coach is a full-time, on-site role located in Loudoun Valley Estates, VA. The coach will lead age-appropriate soccer training sessions, focusing on skill development, game understanding, and sportsmanship for youth players of varying experience levels. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing practice plans, instructing players in fundamental techniques and tactics, organizing and supervising games or scrimmages, and ensuring a safe, positive environment on and off the field. The coach will communicate regularly with players and families about schedules, progress, and expectations, while collaborating with other coaches and staff to align with The St. James coaching standards and program goals. The role may also involve assisting with player evaluations, seasonal program planning, and special events such as camps, clinics, and tournaments. Qualifications Strong Soccer Coaching skills, including planning and leading youth training sessions and teaching fundamental and advanced techniques. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills for working with young athletes, families, and colleagues. Coaching and Education experience, preferably in youth sports or physical education settings. Background in Football/soccer tactics and game strategy, with the ability to adapt instruction to different age groups and skill levels. Previous experience coaching youth teams or running camps and clinics; relevant coaching certifications (e.g., USSF, USC) are preferred. Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and personal growth. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including schedule coordination and session planning.
