Process Engineer

Position Summary Leads Process Improvement tools and methods, such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies, to eliminate losses in a distribution center area according to the Network Process Structure using Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. Delivers expected functional area results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and loss elimination by creating standard work to reduce process variation. Assists with the review and response of process improvement projects owned by area managers. Applies new Network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. Assists with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology. Manages project execution of top losses in the functional area and builds the capability of other area managers and associates. Supports area loss profile analysis and performance metrics. Develops gap analysis to support WPS integration. Supports department managers with WPS program projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within the process area. Leads savings projects within the area of responsibility by reducing process losses. Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity through related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on their application. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) Stock Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or prior experience in Process Improvement, or 2 years of process improvement, or relevant work experience.
