Physical Therapist - Day Shift

The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician directives. The PT is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective returns to community activities. This role encompasses both patient care and education for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to create appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address discharge barriers, including timely equipment trialing and issuing home exercise programs.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and timely according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in the student program, providing oversight and completing evaluations for students assigned.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to state practice acts and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in patient and professional advocacy efforts at community and organizational levels.
• Ensure safety in patient handling, materials management, and work environment management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current state license as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related role is required.

Schedule

This position operates on a Day 5x8.0 schedule.
