At Intermountain, you will be part of a team that values career advancement, innovation and collaboration, where your skills are valued, and your contributions make a lasting impact./ppAs an MRI Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:/pulliUnderstands MRI safety concepts and executes them diligently and consistently to maintain magnet safety for patients, guests, self, and fellow caregivers./liliUnderstands MRI scanning parameters and, in coordination with the radiologist, selects appropriate technical parameters and scanning techniques to ensure clinical exams are of good quality./liliEnsures proper patient identification, order identification, and prepares the patient appropriately for the exam./liliPerforms MRI examinations according to system and department standard protocols./liliUnderstands cross sectional anatomy and demonstrates appropriate anatomical positioning and multiplanar image reconstruction./liliUnder the direction of the radiologist or supervising clinician, performs contrast and medication administration inherent to MRI examination,/liliMaintains competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job./liliFollows appropriate Intermountain policy and procedure including clinical documentation, billing, and electronic medical record workflows./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/pulliARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, -or- ARRT(R) certification with at least 1 year full-time experience in MRI/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers/liliIV Competency within 30 days of hire/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliBachelors Degree in MRI or Advanced Radiologic Science/liliOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies./liliFrequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations./liliManual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc./liliExpected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items./liliNeed to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)/liliMay be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time./liliFor roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles./li/ulpLocation: Platte Valley Hospital/ppWork City: Brighton/ppWork State: Colorado/ppScheduled Weekly Hours: 36/ppThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
