Quality Assurance Manager

As the Quality Assurance Manager, we are looking for someone to champion a culture of quality excellence at our Cleveland, OH manufacturing facility. In this leadership role, you will be the driving force behind our Quality Management System (QMS). You will ensure that every process, product, and person reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, from the production floor to the customer's hands.PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.What You'll Do:Lead Quality Culture & StrategyChampion quality as a mindset, not just a process — embedding QMS principles into the everyday culture of the plantMaintain, evolve, and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System and certifications, ensuring requirements are fully reflected in product realization processesBe the site-level gatekeeper for quality Management of Change (MOC) and New Product Launches, ensuring quality is never an afterthoughtDrive Customer & Supplier ExcellenceIntegrate Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) and Supplier Quality Manual requirements into the QMS, ensuring consistent and measurable complianceFacilitate and lead customer and supplier visits, representing the site with confidenceLead investigations into customer complaints, off-spec situations, and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) — communicating and resolving issues at the root cause, not just the surfacePerformance, Data & Continuous ImprovementLead the measurement and reporting of site quality performance, delivering meaningful insights to stakeholders across the organizationPromote data-driven quality improvement programs that reduce cost of non-conformance, improve yield and productivity, and reduce customer complaint ratesCollaborate with Technical, Optima, and R&D teams to enhance first-time-right capability and accelerate innovation without compromising qualitySystems, Audits & Document ControlSupport and troubleshoot critical quality data systems including SAP, LIMS, and ETQ RelianceOversee the site internal audit program — from strategic planning through hands-on execution — ensuring audit findings translate into meaningful improvementsMaintain a document control system that keeps us aligned, compliant, and audit-readyPeople Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and inspire a quality team, encouraging a culture built on accountability and continuous learningDeliver quality training and coaching across the site, empowering every team member to take ownership of quality in their roleQualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related field5+ years of quality management experience, preferred in automotive industry3+ years of people management or supervisory experienceSix Sigma Green Belt certificationCertified Lead Auditor (IATF; VDA preferred)Proficiency in English (written and verbal)Demonstrated knowledge of automotive core tools (FMEA, SPC, CP, APQP)The pay range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually.#LI-Onsite About us:PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLDThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
