Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Battery Assembly Technician to join our team and operate manufacturing and testing equipment on our Pilot Line. The ideal candidate is hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute pilot line manufacturing processes including electrode handling, stacking, tab welding, electrolyte filling, vacuum sealing, and formation preparation.
• Follow and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain dry room protocols.
• Adhere to quality standards and documentation requirements.
• Maintain organized production records and traceability documentation.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in production, industrial equipment, or pilot line environments.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment working with small parts.
• At least 3 years of experience performing quality control testing using material characterization tools.
• At least 3 years demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and consistent adherence to clean, disciplined manufacturing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience working with lithium-ion or advanced battery chemistries, including formation, cycling, or testing.
• At least 2+ years of experience operating in cleanroom or controlled environments, with strong adherence to safety protocols and lab standards.
• At least 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing operations, including inventory tracking, material handling, and production record keeping.
• At least 2+ years of experience collaborating with engineering/R&D teams and troubleshooting assembly or equipment-related issues in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

Located in San Leandro, CA, our full-time position offers competitive compensation with an hourly rate of $30+. The work environment is dynamic and growth-oriented, providing opportunities to collaborate with engineering and R&D teams. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
