EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Duties

Develops, coordinates, obtains approval, and publishes plans and procedures for implementation of installation policies and instructions relating to EM and CBRN Defense.

Conducts installation EM assessment and interprets and analyzes assessment results. Evaluates EM program to ensure compliance with established guidance.

Coordinates and conducts initial and recurring training for functional areas of EM. When class size requires additional instructors, assists with conducting installation level EM and CBRN defense related training for first and emergency responders, specialized teams, and installation personnel.

Serves as Emergency Support Function-5 (ESF-5), EM representative in the EOC and CBRN Control Center. Provides guidance on mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
