Comfort Keepers Sugar Land is looking for a caregiver to join our team and provide companion care. At Comfort Keepers, we provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and other adults who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their homes. As a caregiver, you will have the opportunity to deliver one-on-one care that enhances quality of life and brings hope and joy to clients and their families.

Caregiver responsibilities include:

• Providing friendly companionship, socialization, conversation, and emotional reassurance to the client
• Providing transportation to medical facilities, grocery stores, beauty salons, and other activities as requested by client
• Providing light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client's garments and linens and changing the bed
• Pet care limited to feeding and enabling pet to exit the house safely under the supervision of client. Water plants as needed
• Assisting in meeting nutritional needs by providing meal planning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen clean-up
• Observing and reporting any changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor in a timely manner
• Establishing and maintaining effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers
• Participating in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisor
• Completing required documentation of services delivered and submitting to office in a timely manner according to policy
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding client information
• Other reasonable related duties as assigned

Caregiver requirements include:

• Companionship and/or personal care experience
• A passion for the job and genuine desire to help others
• Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within Sugar Land/Fort Bend county
• Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration, and valid Texas Driver's License
• Ability to pass background checks and work-related references
• Must pass drug testing
