About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting. License: Must have a state license in hand. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required. Must-Have: Epic charting experience, ability to care for ventilated patients, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Description: Must have a state license in hand. Every other weekend coverage is required. Patient age group: Adults. Staffing ratios: 1:3 for all shifts. Medication system: Pyxis. Patient diagnoses include DKA, Covid, acute alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, respiratory distress, and CHF exacerbation. Requires interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is preferred. Care for ventilated patients is necessary. The unit accepts first-time travelers, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. No local travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius. Scrub colors: Navy and white. Floating to other units may be required based on service line and scope of practice. COVID-19 vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only. Flu vaccine is also required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
