To assist with delivering upon our mission, Chewy is seeking a full-time EHS Coordinator to serve as a designated shift representative for our AVP1 Fulfillment Center (FC), coordinating and implementing all areas of the Chewy EHS Program as advised by leadership.What you'll do but not limited to:Demonstratable passion for EHSServe as the designated EHS shift representative, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Chewy EHS Program as advised by the Site EHSMInfluence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all Team Members in aligning with Chewy EHS standards and maintaining a safe work environmentTraining and coaching Team Members on observed at-risk behaviorsSupport leadership efforts to ensure compliance with corporate EHS Program expectations and applicable federal and state lawsIdentify and communicate to leadership of compliance issues, EHS risks, and improvement opportunities by completing daily, weekly, and monthly auditsConduct risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductionsRecommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to leadership, including ergonomic considerationsFacilitate the incident investigation processMaintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics using corporate-based reporting systems to provide onsite leadership with data to mitigate injuries and incidentsMaintain required paperwork to follow EHS standardsPerform required standard of work observations and auditsTrain and assist all Team Members in completing their EHS responsibilitiesPerform specific EHS training as required by the Site EHS ManagerDemonstrate strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer-focused skillsDemonstrate the ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and equipment for potential EHS concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analysesWhat you'll need:High school or equivalent diplomaA minimum of 1 year in an EHS related field OR a bachelor's degree in EHS-relevant field OR 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within ChewyKnowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a professional capacityStrong communication, collaboration, analysis, judgment, and customer-focus skillsAbility to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analysisAble to maintain confidentiality in matters involving personnel issuesAbility to develop and implement department objectives and strategiesAvailable to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekendsBonus:Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in an EHS-relevant fieldExperience leading and coaching a teamExperience being within or leading a Safety CommitteeExperience in emergency response with active First Aid and CPR certificatesExperience with Intelex, Avetta, Asana, Smartsheet, Safety Management Systems, Microsoft Office, or other similar workspace softwareWe offer the following benefits for Team Members:20% Chewy.com DiscountMedical, Dental, Vision, FSA and HSA (eligibility on the 1st of the month following date of hire)Life and Disability Insurance401(k) with company matchingWellness benefits through Wellbeing @ChewyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off: Team Members are eligible to accrue up to 80 hours of PTO their first yearSubsidized child, adult, and pet backup care through Care.comDiscounts on many items through the LifeMart Discount platformThe option to sign up for Payactiv's Earned Wage Access program and access a portion of the money you've already earned, before your regular payday!Opportunity for wage increases starting after 3-months of serviceReferral Bonuses - $500 per referralChewy is an equal opportunity employer.
